In early days, a saw mill operated on this site. Now it's a popular swimming spot on Powell Lake where kids play with driftwood boats and teens sunbathe or jump from Zungas on adjacent cliffs. Go past the boat launch, to the north end of the gravel lot. Look for a small orange marker nailed to a holly tree, marking an entrance to the Sunshine Coast Trail. Follow the trail a few more feet into a shady grove where there is a cedar tree with another orange marker. You'll find me down low.
