Terrain Difficulty: Moderate (moderate slope, 9 km RT)
Recommended Ink: blue & black
Status: alive
Mt. Robson Provincial Park is the second oldest park in British Columbia and the hike to Kinney Lake is a great way to see it, along with this letterbox.
Directions:
From Valemount go north on Hwy 5 for 19 km then east on Tran-Canada Hwy 16 about 16 km to Mt. Robson Provincial Park. Turn left on Kinney Lake Road and park at the Berg Lake trail head.
Clues:
Walk on the Berg Lake Trail to bridge across Robson River, an overlook of Kinney Lake with a bench on the left, then to a small path on left to another viewpoint of the lake with a rail fence and bench. From bench go back 12 steps then left off the path 5 steps up to a pine tree. LB is at back base under a stick and rock. Please replace as described and be discreet.
