We placed this box in commemoration of our family's first trip to the John Arcand Fiddle Fest ( google this if you are a fiddle player or jigger) an amazing combination of workshops and competition aimed at encouraging people to play and enjoy traditomal Metis and old time fiddle. The festival is held on private property open to the public for four days out of the year so we chose to place the box down the road a bit at another site dedicated to preserving our past.

The Saskatchewan Railway Mesuem is located on Hwy 60. Take Hwy 7 south out of the city then take the turn off for Pike Lake aka Hwy 60. Travel down Hwy 60 about 5 min. The museum in located right on the hwy and is impossible to miss. It is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am-5pm from the may long weekend until the sept. long weekend. You will need to visit when it is open unless scaling chain link appeals to you.

Enter the parking lot and if you have the time pay the $5 per adult (3 per child) and discover a bit of our praire railway heritage. If not park and walk toward the car named for our nation. See the yellow "F" on the catwalk face? Place your right hand on this "F" to steady yourself as you look under and back (west). You will see a sort of shelf that starts out wide and gets skinnier as it moves from the middle of the undercarriage towards the outside face. The box is wedged on this shelf.
Please be sure to make sure no visitors or the groundskeeper are about to see you and ask awkward questions. Please being your own ink and as always rehide we'll. Happy hunting.
