The Ironworks LbNA # 62869 (ARCHIVED)
|Owner||LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED|
|Placed Date||Aug 15 2012|
|Location||Tannehill State Park, McCalla, AL|
Start at a place where you might learn a "craft".
From here follow the path of Wilson's Raiders' 1895 march along Roupes Creek and past the quarry site. Continue until you reach what the Raiders were sent to destroy.
Before you continue, take some time to explore and take in some of the history.
After you've taken a break, find the "probable" site of the original ironworks headquarters.
Stand directly in front of the sign (approx 4 ft. from it) and turn 90° to your left. Walk in this direction until you reach the tree that is closest to "Snead".
From the tree take two paces to your left and you will find "The Ironworks" behind some pieces of board and stone.
We ask that once found you stay out of sight while stamping as this is a high traffic area of the park, and as always please take the time to rehide well.
