Before Europeans set foot upon Mississippi Valley Soil, American Indians developed a vibrant and sophisticated culture in the Memphis area. The C.H. Nash Museum at Chucalissa allows visitors to explore the lifeways of these people.

Make your way to Chucalissa Museum at 1987 Indian Village Dr. Once your reach the front of the museum, turn around and start driving back the way you just came. Turn right into the parking lot of the small picnic area with several picnic benches scattered about. Just after turning right, see a HUGE tree, about 4-5 feet wide on the right, just into the tree line. This tree is the biggest around, much bigger than all others. The box is behind this HUGE tree dug down into the base of the tree.
