MARTIN THE BLACKSTONE TROLL
Access the Blackstone River Bike Path near the RT 116 Viaduct.
1. Begin your search at the 11 mile stone post mile marker near the information kiosk behind the Kelley House Museum. (Be sure to enjoy a free tour!)
2. Proceed South on the bike path. (walkers stay left facing approaching bikes)
3. At the 10.5 mile marker near a stone bench on the right take a short side trip on a path on the hill behind the bench to overlook Canoe Rocks where the Canal passes through steep rock ledge.
4. Continue going South on the bike path approx. ½ mile until the Martin Street Underpass comes into view.
5. On your right you will see a white cement wall.
6. STROLL THE WALL TO FIND THE TROLL
(Keep away from the edge; walk on the grass to avoid a fall)
7. Obey the yellow sign posted above -- walk approx. 10ft. 6 in. to the fourth green girder.(counting the edge support)
8. The TROLL resides on the wooden shelf there.
