Park at Crocker Conservation Area. You can get there from Mechanic St. To Prospect then drive to the end of Flat Rock Road. Walk the tree lined path (sadly some trees were recently cut down). Before you reach the water tank, turn left onto a faint trail with a noticeable sand pile. Continue on this path until you pass through the stone wall. Turn right and walk alongside the wall until you reach a large fallen tree. Box #1 is in the upper hollow portion of the roots where the maple tree is growing. The logbook is in the second box.
Return to the path, continuing in the same direction. You shouldn’t concern yourself about unusual activity until you reach the next box’s location. You will know when to stop to wonder who came before you. However, it appears the coven has vacated their meeting place. Cautiously enter, being careful of broken glass. Stand at the fallen tree partially supported by a 2-sister tree. Stand with your left shoulder against the right sister tree. Look straight ahead to the tall pine with a SPOR at the base. The box also contains 3 pictures of this location from prior years.
Return to the path, continuing in the same direction. At Flat Rock Road turn left to return to your car. This will hopefully complete your letterbox adventure.
