There are many warning signs here regarding bear activity. Pay attention.

Bring your own ink.
This is a letterbox, not a geocache. Please do not take away the stamper and please leave no trinkets.

My home is in the Land of Enchantment but I do love the sights of the Centennial State.
Campground is open from May 4 until September 30--but it looks like one could park outside the locked gate and hike.

Driving directions: On Highway 550 north of Durango or south of Silverton, go to Haviland Lake National Campground turnoff between mile marker 41 and 42--enjoy the view of Hermosa cliffs. There's a $5.00 fee to enter the park but there is parking outside the gate and you can walk half a mile along the road to enter and save a few bucks. Cross the one lane bridge over the low dam and take the first left and park.

Clues: Orient your compass so north points north. Follow the pIvCd ArIil Ew. At the first iEACrsCNAioE take a wCsA. Count CigTA lines. A rock edge to the west has a red rock under the scrub oak. Under a coverstone at its base.

Substitution Code:

CENTInneAL

Hint=TiEA

Please do not let others see you make the snag and please move away from the area to do your stamping--maybe to the picnic table. Do not let others see you as you rehide and please rehide exactly where you found it covered completely by coverstones. Try to make it blend in.

Happy hunting.
