8/11/08 - There is now a "No Tresspassing" sign on the main gate. You can still go in and get the box. People still go in to fish and play ball. If you are questioned, just say you are getting a letterbox.

Planted by Queen B and daughter Kiakahi
Stamp carved by Kiakahi (her first!)

Rated: Easy

From Willimantic:

Take Rt. 289 to the first stop sign on the Lebanon Green at the intersection with Rt. 87. Turn right onto Rt. 87. Take 1st left onto Mack Road. *Go .4 miles and see soccer field parking lot on right. If you see fair grounds, you have gone too far. If gate is up, park across the street on grass. If gate is down, pull into parking lot.

From Columbia:

Follow Rt. 87 towards Lebanon. Take 3rd right after Uncle D's Restaurant onto Mack Road. See * above.

From Hebron, Franklin & Norwich:

At the intersection of Rt. 207 and Rt. 87, follow Rt. 87 down the Lebanon Green to the stop sign. Bear left and stay on Rt. 87. Take 1st left onto Mack Road. See * above.

Directions to box:

Go through gates. With your back to the 2nd gate, take a reading of 350 degrees and head towards the outstanding tree. Once at the tree, take a reading of 260 degrees. Follow stone wall 14 paces, counting left foot only. Your prize is behind the trap door to the right of the tree. After stamping, please rehide well.

This is the first box we have planted. We hope you enjoyed finding it as much as we enjoyed planting it.

I would like to thank Burning Feet for taking over this box.
