To get to ACLT go 4 miles south on Solomons Island Road (Routes 2/4) from the intersection of Hallowing Point Road (Route 231) in Prince Frederick. Turn left on Parkers Creek Road, cross Route 765 and turn right onto Scientists Cliffs Road. Drive .8 miles to the ACLT parking lot on the left. A South Side Trails Map can be printed out here. Trail maps are also available at the sign in box at the ACLT Barn.
Start out on Ridge Loop (Gravatt Lane). When you get to the fork in the path take Gravatt lane to the right. Go past the outhouse on the right. Turn right onto Frog Pond Trail. Go down the hill. Stop at the giant tree with the yellow marker on it. Now look to the right side of the trail for a big tree with a split trunk that looks like a V. Look behind the V trees and you will see a large tree. You will find the box hidden in a hole in the trunk. Be carefull, thier is a poison ivy vine on the tree. (Looks like the ivy going up the tree has been chopped at the roots to kill it). Enjoy.
