Kingston, my favorite furry friend, was in desperate need to go hiking so when I suggested Jewett Preserve, he got very excited. He had never been there and wanted to see the streams that Ace so loved to swim in. He was also excited to find out that Butterfly and R would be joining us and also adding onto the series!
After completing the "Jimmy's Holiday Series", continue on the yellow trail until you reach the junction of the white trail. Follow the trail at 240 degrees up the hill until you come to a rock outcropping to your right. Check between oak tree and rock for Hark! (southeast side)
Retrace your steps down the hill to the junction of the white trail . If you have the add-on clues for St. Patrick's Day and Easter Eggs , then follow the clues for the Easter Eggs next. Otherwise follow the directions back to your car according to the Jimmy's Holiday Series clues .
We had an enjoyable time finding boxes, planting the add-ons, chatting and especially watching Kingston having a real dog-gone good time in the streams!
Note: You will need to have a map. Download one before you leave home at www.lymelandtrust.org in case the map box is empty when you arrive at the trail head. Also, note that the "Green" trail has been re-blazed with Yellow.
Trails are open for hunting only Monday - Friday, 2nd Wednesday in November - 3rd Tuesday in December.
