Park or start out from Ryan Road School parking lot.
Walk across the street from the baseball field nearest the street, and continue up Mathew Drive.
At the top of Mathew Drive, you will need to walk a bit through someone‘s driveway. Look for Private Drive sign with a circle of rocks at the bottom. Find the trailhead on the right, and go into the woods.
Follow the path of rocks and cross over a large fallen tree.
Boulder ahead, keep it on your right.
Follow the path up a steep hill (careful, you might slip on wet leaves!)
Follow the white triangles.
Go under the “rainbow tree” arch.
Use your eyes to follow the white triangles on trees.
Along the way, where the path levels off, look up for the hanging dragonfly from a branch.
At the fork in the path, go right.
Go past the vernal pool on your left, and several steps down the path,step over the dead tree.
At the next fork in the road, go left (your compass should read N)
Look to your left, at the rocky “porcupine den”
Up, up, up you go to the 2nd white dot (on tree) and turn right - go off trail up the rocks.
Take a rest and lean against the east side of a LARGE slanted rock.
Look to the north, your close left, at three smaller rocks, stacked pyramid style.
Look low for the letterbox hidden at the bottom of the rocks.
