Difficutly: Easy
Distance to Microbox: 10 yards
*** Part of the Wineries of Texas Series ***
Mendelbaum winery is one of the new additions along Hwy 290 between Fredericksburg and Stonewall. It has Texas wines and Israeli wines. Tasted choices from both. Texas wines are okay, but he Israeli wines were very good (very good reds!). Facility is nice, and owner and staff are fun to talk to (Israeli).
Directions: Hwy 290, Between Stonewall and Fredericksburg, on the south side of the road. Look for sign. Pull in and park on right side near old truck.
To the Microbox:
Walk to the truck, then go from back end toward the paved sidewalk patio, past a large rock. On left of patio is a standing rock wall. From end of 1st standing rock, box is buried on outside of end in flower bed, under dirt and small rock.
