The AERMOTOR wind mill was introduced in 1888. Only 45 were sold the first year. For additional information go to http://www.aermotorwindmill.com/

Clues:
This is a 7 mile one way trip and four wheel drive is not necessary if you take it easy.

Between Lake Havasu City and Yucca take exit 13 (Franconia Road) from I-40 and continue south up a hill where the asphalt ends. Set odometer. At 0.5 mi. the road forks at substation. Take the road to the left. At 1.7 mi. a four way intersection appears, continue straight with red/white marker on your right. At 3.0 mi, follow the HGS (Havasu Gold Seekers) post to the left. First set of old fence posts are at 5.2 mi. At 6.3 mi. take the left at the Y, red/white marker will be on your right as you pass. Continue up the hill with red/white marker on left. Go through another set of wooden fence posts at 6.7 mi. Almost there… look for water tank and the AERMOTOR CHICAGO windmill on your left. Ignore the large SPOR in parking lot. What you are looking for is beneath the windmill’s gearbox nestled in the cement platform.

Check out Franconia Road Gravesite letterbox.

Caution: Watch out for snakes, scorpions, and spiders. Temperatures between May and October can exceed 100 degrees so carry water.
