Directions to Courtney's Letterbox:
From Route 2 in Preston, turn onto Shewville Road. Go .6 miles to the entrance to Whitehall Park. Begin the hike by going over the bridge. Take a left just before the pond and go up the hill. At the top of the hill, take a right. Keep looking toward the left for the stone throne. Follow the trail up to the throne and keep climbing towards the left. Follow the power lines. Don't forget to turn around and enjoy the view. At the top of the hill, go right. When the trail forks, take the right fork. When you see the barbed wire fence, follow it towards the right. Keep going until the "T" in a small clearing. Take a left. You should then be able to see MGM at Foxwoods in the distance. When you see the post and rail fence, take a moment to seize the view overlooking a pretty pond. To find the box, look to your right. There is a pile of large stones. The box is under the pile near the crooked tree. I hope you've found what you've been looking for!
