1. Read the disclaimer and liability waiver from the web site. This is always at your own risk.
2. Go to the Old Blue Hills Road parking area for the Mattabesett trail (Miller Pond State Park) in Durham, CT.
3. Go to the trailhead from the parking area (Blue trail).
4. Follow the Blue trail; you will cross several brooks.
5. Keep following the Blue trail; you will come to Coginchaug Cave on your right (about 3/4 mile).
6. Climb the rocks on the left side of the cave and get into the cave.
7. Look toward the entrance away from the tree and then look down and to the left.
8. Look in the opening at the end of the rocks under the leaves and loose rock for the “Bat” letterbox!
9. Please repack and hide everything carefully and neatly. Enjoy the some more hiking on the Mattabesett Trail, but be sure to return the way you came.
10. Use the web site to contact us if maintenance is needed, or if you enjoyed this letterbox.

Thanks and Enjoy!
