Our Elf on the Shelf, Elfred, left us a beautiful hand-carved stamp so we could plant a letterbox on Christmas Eve! Even though he was quite mischievous this year, we decided to make this one simple to find. Here are the directions:
Park in the dirt lot of Bluff Point State Park and take main trail toward the bluff. Make sure to stay right at the first fork. You will pass a small sandy beach area on the right. Continue on the path until you notice your first peak of the ocean ahead. Right around this point keep your eyes peeled for a tree on the right side of the trail that looks like a giraffe. The trunk is split into 4 "legs" and the "neck" extends up and over. From the giraffe, take 2 steps along the trail and then 2-3 steps toward the woods. You should have a pile of large stones at your feet. Under the outermost stone, you'll find Elfred's Candy Cane!
FYI, this box is approximately 1.25 miles from the parking area. If you reach the bluff or restrooms, you've gone too far!
