This is at Briggs-Boesch Farm in East Greenwich, on South Road. Pat’s Pastured operates a small working farm on this property, so you will see sheep, sheep dogs, pigs, chickens, and who knows what else! Please be respectful of the animals and employees. It’s a great little hike.

Park in the parking lot – the trail head is located next to the sign/map. Then it curves through the farm, where the trail goes past the barn. After you get into the woods, you will begin to see numbered signs, and that’s where we begin:

Follow 15 past the stream,
Continue straight after 19.
See the stream there on your right?
Soon an L-shaped wall’s in sight!
Loop around the far side of the wall
Be very careful not to fall!
Follow the rocks ‘til you see big brown,
Then look down.
On the leaf-covered forest floor,
Open up a small trap-door.
Now your letterboxing quest is done,
Hope you had a lot of fun!

You can continue on the path – a lot of trails trace through the woods, and sometimes can be hard to figure out. Or you can go back and take the path you walked past for a short hike. Here is the link for more info: http://www.eglandtrust.org/Properties/boesch.html
