Great old cemetery just down the road from entrance to Buescher State Park. Explore.
Directions:
From Hwy 71 at Smithville, head toward Bastrop. Just after exit for Buescher, look for right turn onto Powell Cemetery Road. Turn right on this road and go to cemetery gate on the LEFT (not straight).
To the Letterbox:
Enter the gate and follow fence down left side to near building outside of fence. You should see large headstone for "Cox" on your right, and a large oak tree between it and the fence near back end of building. Go to back side of the oak, and work your way to the base. Box at base under stuff.
