The Rio Grade Flyway is one of the great migration routes in the world. One of the art panels on the bridge celebrates this natural wonder. While searching for this box, look and listen to the denizens of the river.

This is not a geocache so please do not remove anything in trade or leave any trinkets.
Bring your own ink.

Directions:
1. Find the NeXus letterbox. From there take a bearing of 0 degrees. It's about a quarter of a mile in that direction but please don't go as the crow flies, unless you are a crow.

2. In the picnic area the above bearing takes you, find the Rotary table. It's closest to the river.

3. Find the Rio Grande Valley Park State Park sign next to the table that shows you the Northside Trail.

4. I took 43 steps down that trail from the sign--or to the second good-sized cottonwood near the side of the trail. When I planted it had a rock at its base. Look in the beaver shielding wire hidden by leaf duff about three feet up.

Letterboxes are meant to be a search for hidden treasure--please rehide very well, completely cover the letterbox with leaf debris so no part of it can be seen. Thanks for playing.
