Allow 30 minutes round trip
From Route 2 East: take exit 10 and turn right at the end of the ramp. Go left at the stop sign onto New London Turnpike and fork right at the next intersection. At the stop sign at Country Club Road, go straight, then fork left, going over the highway (don't get on Route 2 here). When you get to the end, park in the cul de sac. Please don’t block the gate.
From Route 2 West: take exit 11, then turn right at the end of the exit and park at the cul de sac. Please don’t block the gate.
There is a sign posted indicating that the Glastonbury Shooting Range is here and says “No Trespassing”. However, this route is the access way for the blue Shenipsit Trail on this side of the highway, as pointed out in the CT Walk Book East.
Walk up the road past the shooting range. Follow the blue blazes until the trail gets very close to Rt 2. You should a large pine tree with a trail map on your right. At this point turn left off the trail and walk up to the top of a rock/ledge. At the top you should see a round thigh high boulder a little ways in front of you. Behind the boulder under a rock is Omega.
