Hooo! Hooo! Hooo! Whooo's There?
This box was created in the spring of 2011 by students at Northeast Elementary School.
Location: Crandall Park, Tolland, CT – Park in the Crandall Park 2 parking lot.
Besides your usual letterboxing supplies, you might want to bring a knock-knock joke to share!
After parking in Crandall 2 parking lot you will see a stone wall with an entrance. This is the way you are going to go however on the other side of the parking lot is a large trail map of all the trails in the park, you might want to take a look at that before you head out if you are not familiar with the trails.
Go through the entrance of the stone wall. You will walk on a dirt road for a short distance. On your right you will see a speed limit/dog leash sign. About 12 paces past this sign, on the left will be an entrance to the yellow trail. There are yellow disc blazes on the trees.
Stay straight on the yellow trail, following the yellow blazes, you will pass a wooden bench on your right.
Continue on yellow, when you come to the blue trail intersection, do not go right, stay straight, bearing slightly to the left. You are now on the blue trail. You will go up a small hill and pass a grove of pines on your right. Continue on this trail and look for a stone wall that is on your right, parallel to the trail. Stay on the trail until you see a bench on your left. Walk about 20 paces and you will see a tree on your left with a blue disc blaze on it. Turn left and bushwhack your way through the woods to a cairn.
The box is hidden in the back of the cairn behind rocks. Please be secretive and hide the box well.
This was also the hiding spot of penguin puzzle which is presently retired.
