*The box survived the flood. It was 2 feet under water, but only took on a little water. Happy hunting*

**Box was stolen a few weeks after placement. Sorry everyone**

Park at the far East side of the parking lot to Eldridge Park near Commonwealth and Butterfield rd. There is a canoe access point here to the Salt Creek. Head to the information/maps sign on the paved path here. This is where your adventure begins. From the information sign, walk down the paved path heading North. The pond will be on your left along with Eldridge Nature Center. Keep walking until you get to a "T" intersection. You will also see a bridge to your right. This bridge crosses the Salt creek and connects up with the Salt Creek trail. Do not cross the bridge. At the "T" take a compass heading of 330 degrees. You are now walking off the paved path but staying on the west side of the creek. Your adventure will continue along the edge of the field on your left and the tree line along the river on your right. Take this time to listen to the many birds that call this place their home. Keep walking until you get to a small depression. You are getting close to a really neat surprise. About 10 paces north along the tree line from the depression, you will encounter a large man-hole cover. Stop at the man-hole and have a seat. Look around. Why are the rocks in this area wet?? Almost always wet even when it's not raining. This is where you need to stop and rest for about 5-10 minutes to reveal the surprise. Be patient. Listen to the birds signing and watch the river flow. This is a place where our friends the frogs like to play. SSShhhhhh... Keep this secret to yourselves.

After you have witnessed this neat surprise, it's time to continue your journey. From the man-hole take another compass heading of 20 degrees. Walk about 10 steps past the fuzzy tree roots. This is a rough path with some small trees and brush that may scratch or scrap you a little. Proceed with caution. Walk about another 10 steps at that same heading toward a broken willow tree with a large rock at it's base. You are very close now. Look under some large pieces of bark, under the broken branch, for the treasure you seek. Please take the time to replace all the bark and feel free to add more to keep this box well hidden. This area experiences a lot of foot traffic and kids exploring the woods. Enjoy!!
