Begin hike by following the trail left form the parking lot. Go under high tension wires. Go over the pipe with the stream running through it. Stand in front of the map by the fork in the path.

For Loop A, take the “road less traveled.” (go left) Walk over the bridge and follow the path uphill. Take the side trail on the right to the viewing area. Once you reach the wooden structure, look for the twin trees to the left. Search around the base of the tree for Letterbox #1!

Head back to the main trail the way that you came and continue in the direction that you were originally heading in. Go over a bridge and then go up three wooden steps in the ground. Follow along the curve in the trail to the right. When you come to the third map post, go left. Soon you will pass the fourth map, a giant oak tree, and a swamp on your left. Cross the bridge and pass the second dead oak tree on your left. Follow the downward slope until you come to a fallen tree with its roots exposed. Search around the roots to find Letterbox #2!

Continue along the loop and walk up the path covered in roots. Follow the path until you go past the map on the right of the past and walk through the pine forest. You’ll end your loop when you come across the next map post. If you are facing the map, follow the path to the left of it back to the beginning. You’ll know that you are going in the right direction when you pass the 3 wooden steps and go over the bridge. You’ve reached the beginning when you get back to the fork in the path by the clearing.

For Loop B, go right at the fork by the map and onto the wooden bridge with the handrails. Cross over the bridge and take a left when you get to the second map. Pass through the fallen tree “gate” and past the tree with a “mouth.” Go over the bridge and past the cut logs and “Sandy’s tree” to the right. You will come to the third bridge on this loop. Letterbox #3 can be found in the third black tube or directly under plank #27!

Follow along the path and go over the bridge and the clover-filled wooden walkway. You’ll pass a rusted car and two little ponds on your left. Soon you will get back to the big bridge with the handrails. You will find Letterbox #4 under the cement base between post number 33 and 34 on the right below the bridge. Congrats! You have now found all four letterboxes! From here, go back out into the clearing, under the high tension wires, and back out to the parking lot the way that you came! Thanks for participating!
