Greyson, Nick, and Chris went on a hike with granny to hide their very first letterbox.
From I-91 (north or south) take Exit 40 (Bradley Airport/Route 20). Stay on Route 20 until to gwet to the center of East Granby and the intersection of Route 187. Turn left on 187 and go about 2 1/2 miles to Cowles Park on your right, and park in the lot.
From the parking lot, take the trail until you reach a fork in the road and then go to the right, following the yellow trail.
At the next fork in the trail, go to the left and continue to follow the yellow trail. Continue along the yellow trail until you reach a bench. Take the next path to your left, which is marked with both yellow and orange together. In about 50 feet you will notice a large tree on your right. Go past this tree another 50 feet and you will see a second large tree to your right about 30 feet off the trail. Look for a small ledge outcropping. You will find Granny's Surprise there.
