Difficulty rating: 3 Challenging

Clues are fairly direct, and require a bit of advance preparation and additional decoding while you're on the trail. Allow 1/2 hour for the hike.

Terrain rating: 2.25 Suitable for small children.

Mowed grass trail - best attempted when ground is not too wet. You could push a stroller on this marked trail without too much effort. Terrain is all a clear wide path, there is no overgrowth. There is a slight elevation change, steep enough that riding a bike up the slope would be a challenge. Less than a 1 mile round-trip stroll required.

Go to the last locality in Montgomery County to ban alcoholic beverages. From the place that serves New York Pizza and is "Now Serving" beer and wine, you could take a Bicycle .8 miles at 214° to find this letterbox.

Please Leave No Trace.

From Oak take the path down into the conservation park. Pass a game trail on the right.

Before reaching the bridge you will see a bat house. From the bat house due South, twenty steps from the hole, is the box, hidden in the cradle of a tree with six trunks.

A Hitchhiker Hostel is a special letterbox whose primary purpose is to facilitate the exchange of hitchhikers. In order to take a hitchhiker from the hostel, you should leave one.
