RUBADUC TRIBUTE LETTEBOX

DIRECTIONS: Naugatuck State Forest in Bethany. Coming from the East (Cheshire) on RT 42, pass the intersection with RT 63 and continue on RT 42. About a half mile west of Horseshoe Hill Road, there is a parking area on your right. But it is steep and often muddy. Continue on RT 42 past the entrance to Bethany Veteran Memorial Park on the left, and immediately on your right there is a blue oval trailhead sign. Take a right into the woods for better parking, and carefully walk back to the steep spot where the blue-blazed trail begins. Coming from the West (Beacon Falls), look for that first blue oval sign on the left, just before the entrance to the Veterans Park.

CLUES: Follow the clues for Rubaduc’s BEACON CAP LETTERBOX (LbNA #7149), or Tiger and BuzzBee”s PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER SERIES (LbNA #11678),or Punkmilgob JUSTICE LEAGUE LETTERBOXES (LbNA #19259) for the Superman Box. When you get to the huge boulder at the Cap, walk to the right, and look a short distance down the hill. You will see a stone that looks like a head in profile. Farther down the hill to the left, you will see a pile of several boulders. Look for Superman, there. Just a bit farther down the hill and to the left, you will see a loose circle of smaller stones. Under the second and flatest stone, you will find the Rubaduc Tribute Letterbox.
