Just over a mile in from the South Gate you will notice a small white sign on the right hand side of the Valley Road reading "One Lane Bridge". Across the road you should find the Mead Mountain Trail, identified by a sign nailed to a tree and a small log pile-up at the base of the trail. Proceed up the trail a few hundred yards. You will pass a small clearing on your left and will soon reach an abandoned beaver pond. Pass over the bridge and on your right, just off the road, you will find a letterbox secured to a poplar tree.
