Wimberley Valley Winery has been in Old Town Sping for a long time, but recently they opened a tasting room just north of Wimberley. Nice facility!!! Their wines are mainly fruit, sweet wines, which I do not care for, but they do also taste some other varieties from California that were very good. Well worth the stop!!!
Directions:
Going north from Wimberley on Hwy 12, about 5 miles out turn right at sign for the winery, and follow signs to winery enterance on left (about 3 miles). Pul in and park in lot.
To the Letterbox:
Taste, then go out back to deck area. Walk to bus, but do no enter it. Instead, go left along railing to where the front of the bus is, and wine barrell planter with wine vine growing in it. Box is next to base of that vine, under corks.
