WELCOME TO COLEBROOK
The first time I ever saw a moose was in Colebrook
New Hampshire near the Connecticut Lakes. They
have a road they call Moose Alley. Everyday at dawn
and dusk, the moose can be seen right by the road.
They come to lick the salt off the pavement. When
we went, we rented a cabin at the Ramblewood
Cabins and campground, where they made us feel
very Welcome. Now there is a cabin by the
Colebrook River in Connecticut , that was hidden
by a moose for you to find.
If you haven't been around here make sure you
bring the clues for--How do you travel?-- Nosey Nate-
Under the sea-- and any others that are around.
Directions:
Rte. 8 south from Sandisfield Ma.
Drive past the "entering Colebrook Ct" sign.
Turn left ( 3/10 mile past sign)at the end of the guard
rails on the left. There is a small paved area with 2
large logs blocking the path.
Rte. 8 north drive 1.2 miles past the entrance of the
boat ramp of the Colebrook River Dam. There is a
small paved area on the right with 2 large logs
blocking a path. If you pass the Sandisfield Ma. sign
you have gone to far. Just turn around and follow the
directions above.
Walk around the logs to that boulder in front of you
with the stump behind it that is just as big. Head to
the "Y" tree on your left with the small boulder in
front of it. This box is between the tree and the
boulder under the rotten wood.
