If you'd like to try Green Eggs and Ham, then make your way to Gander Mountain, in the northwest corner of Lake County, Illinois. Climb the mountain, and locate the geological survey marker at the top. That's where your journey begins!
I climbed to the mountaintop and,
Reaching it, I did not stop.
I used my compass so I’d know
Precisely which way I should go.
I turned and looked down toward the trees.
One hundred forty-two degrees.
Down, down I walked into the glen.
I saw some tire tracks and then
I took a right and walked a bit.
I walked a while until I hit
Upon a path of stone and clay,
Turned right again and made my way
Just yards ahead until I spied
Another path on my left side.
I walked that trail and never strayed
Until I found a grassy glade.
I crossed the meadow stride by stride
And made it to the other side.
Then, at my feet I felt a bump,
Up from the trail, a smallish stump.
I stopped and took a compass reading
To find the thing that I was needing.
I turned and peered into the trees
One hundred and sixty degrees.
Then on the ground among the rocks,
I found a tiny letterbox.
I found Green Eggs and Ham inside,
And so will you! Then, please, re-hide!
