Directions:
Take interstate 5 to exit 61 (3 miles north of Grants Pass) and head west on Merlin-Galice road 22 miles to Grave Creek Bridge. Once you've crossed the bridge make a left turn and head up the mountain approximately 4 miles. You will come to a"Y" in the road, take the fork on your right (which will be Reuben Mountain Road) and go up approximately one mile (on our odometer it was 8/10 of a mile from the "Y"). Look carefully or you will miss it! On the right hand side will be an old mine/cave. Park your car on the side of the road here.
Clues:
To find the letterbox, go to the mine entrance. The fern on your left with a big rock underneath it is where you will find it hiding!
P.S. Remember to bring your flashlight!! This mine only goes in approximately 80 feet, but for those of you who have never been spelunking before might enjoy checking it out. Don't forget to tell us the neat things you saw. You might just think its a hole in the side of a mountain but you would be surprised what you'd find if you looked hard enough! Have fun and be safe!
P.S.S. this letterbox contains a black inpad which looks best when used with this stamp, also please be respectful of any small critters that might be living in the cave during winter months.
