To find the letterbox, follow these directions:

Go to the Arnold Arboretum, 125 Arborway, Jamaica Plain MA 02130.

Starting at the Visitor Center, follow Meadow Road until you come to the huge silver maple on your left. Continue walking on the main road.

Keep your eyes peeled to the left for the often overlooked thorny bark of the flat spine prickly ash tree. You might see the first smoketree nearby, but this isn’t the one we’re looking for! Keep walking along the main road.

Look to your left. What is that tall, heavenly tree? It’s the tree of heaven!

Continue walking in toward the meadow.

Keep to the right and look at that twisted, witchy tree as you. Did you notice its dark-purple bushy leaves overhead? It’s another smoketree.

Keep walking around this smoketree until you reach a group of maple trees. Check out all their colorful leaves and then walk back toward the main road.

Do you see a yellow flowering tree in the distance? This is the goldenrain tree.

Turn and walk back toward the Visitors Center. Can you spot some blueberry bushes on your right?

Look at all the smoketrees next to the blueberry bushes. Look for the opening between them and carefully proceed in.

Congratulations! You have reached your destination; look for the letterbox at the base of this plant. Follow the directions inside the box and leave everything just as you found it.
