From The Dam Area Follow the Channel Bouys that are Lettered Not Numbered. Go Past "A", Pass "B" and head port to Kimball Point Park (a NC State Park) Locate the Picnic Shelter and you can pull up in the cove to it's left. There are some picnic tables in the pines next to the lake. Go Up to the road and head toward the picnic shelter, on the right find a big pine that has riprap piled about 4ft or so up it's trunk. Under a rock at the top of this pile on the shelter side of the tree is the Cannonball. Landlubbers can find a way.
