Enter the Mechanicsburg fireworks home. Start where the “Woof” pack roams and turn at 240° to follow the long ago hoof prints of racing ponies. Round the curve but don’t finish the race. Instead, turn 90° and look up the hill for the Liquidambar styraciflua. For children: Enter the fireworks home. Start where the “Woof” pack roams. Follow the long ago hoof prints of racing ponies to the right. Round the curve but don’t finish the race. Look up the hill for the Sugar Gums and down for the treasure. HINTS: The Goshen Dog Park is available from sunrise to sunset to dogs and their people. The dirt track nearby was once used to race horses and ponies. Goshen Memorial Park is the location for the annual Mechanicsburg Summer Celebration fireworks. Several American Sweetgum Liquidambar styraciflua trees are located on the hillside farthest from Parkview Road.
