Your adventure starts where the first bicycle railroad started. Follow Smithville Road to Park Ave. access road and park in the lot. Backtracking on the road you came in, you will turn to cross a wooden bridge. Follow the red stone road and read the history of the buildings that are on both sides. At the end of the stone road you will cross another wooden bridge facing the lake. Follow the paved path to the right to the place where you can fish from. A box has been placed near here for our cub scout pack to find. We call it turtle-turtle - if you want you may leave your mark. To find this box, continue on the paved path, and continue on the dirt path to the park boundary sign. Turn around and step back 19 paces adult or 32 child. Look to the left away from the lake, carefully follow a path down the small hill, your treasure lies within the root of a forked tree. After carefully re-hiding this box, return to the place where you can fish from, look across the lake and you will find the same. This is your second starting point. (Hint - take your car) Find the park access that gets its name from the bicycle railroad. Follow this path straight to the water, to the center of the pier. Then, turnaround, take a few steps, and take a sit and enjoy the scene. This is the path - to the right as you sat - that you need to follow. Up the hill, along the lake, down the steps, cross a bridge and look to your right. While on the bridge you will see another. Under a stump at the end of that bridge will lie the treasure. Please carefully re-hide this box so that others may join the search.

We would love to hear any feedback from fellow letterboxers.
