We placed this letterbox to commemorated my daughters first time at Camp Calvin a fiddle Camp. This camp was established by Calvin Vollrath, who is well know in the fiddle world for both his talent and his teaching ability. Fiddle players and instructors from all over Canada come to this camp every year to learn, jam, and visit with other fiddle players.

The grounds for camp calvin are in the hamlet of St. Edouard. If you are traveling to St. Paul from Bonnyville you will pass the turn off ( if you blink you will miss it) about 5 mins before you reach St. Paul ( range rd 83 south). If you are in St. Paul, leave the town heading east toward Elk Point and turn south on range rd 83.

The St. Edouard Renewal Centre is impossible to miss, it is the largest building in a hamlet of about 9 houses. Turn into the parking lot and park on the north end.

You will begin your walk on the north side of the building ( walk down the cement path to about the middle of the building) if you look you will see a raised path that runs straight north of the building. Follow it until you reach the great spruce that stands as sentinel at the far end of the path. Rotate directly west and walk toward the elm. Go round to the opposite side of the elm and turn slightly north again, you are aiming for the corner of the property and the spruce that stand there a few feet away. Go around the spruce and you will see a large concrete and wood corner post with a year inscribed in it.
On the opposite side of the post is another spruce, under it's bottom branches covered in leaves and grass and a rock is the box.

If the renewal centre is hosting a retreat or event and this walk seems intrusive, you may park at the north edge of the property on the edge of the road and walk straight west between the row of aspens and row of spruce to get to the corner marker.
