Jim Tickle was a farmer. He was married and he had two children. But when the rodeo came to town, Jim became a cowboy. He loved the rodeo that’s why his stamp is a calf roper. Jim was the seventh of nine children born to James R. Tickle and Ida Lou Crawford in the little town of Purdon. He is buried next to his sister Ressie. If you look as you walk through the cemetery you will note quite a few Tickles are buried here.

From Hwy 31 turn east on SW3140. There is a sign for Younger Cemetery. Just past Silver Creek Ranch entrance (on the left) turn left to cemetery entrance. (31.962846,-96.645501)

Park at cemetery entrance and read historical marker. When finished reading, walk down the road. Watch for Quinn marker on the right. Turn right and walk toward heart shaped marker. Next to the heart shaped marker you will find Jim Tickle, our rodeo cowboy. To find box turn right and walk toward the tree row. Stop at the 4th tree which has a double trunk. The box is hidden between the two trunks. Caution: Watch out for rusty barb wire. Please make sure box is completely hidden when you have finished.
