The International Tennis Hall Of Fame & Museum, located in Newport, honors players and contributors to the sport of tennis and includes a museum and grass tennis courts, along with indoor & outdoor regular courts. It was established in 1954 and the first members were inducted in 1955. The museum houses a vast collection of artifacts and memorabilia highlighting the history of tennis from its origins up through the modern era and is well worth a visit. This box dedicated to the Hall is located at Green End Fort, built by the British in 1777 as the eastern terminus of their Newport defense lines.
Directions:
From Broadway go east on Vernon Ave for 0.5 mile to Green End Fort on left and park by it.
Clues:
Walk through the white fence entrance for 36 steps along trees on the left to a stump with little trees growing out of it. Minibox is within stump under a rock and leaves. Please be discreet and replace as described.
