Great little stop for scenic views.
Directions:
From Rt 138A, go east on Purgatory Rd for about .8 miles and turn right on far end of Tuckerman Ave, then park in the small lot for Purgatory Chasm on the left.
To the Letterbox:
Walk on main path to bridge on right for Chasm. Go right and cross bridge. Count 48 steps as you continue down main path. you should be on top of rock outcropping, at point where split crosses trail. Sit on farther flat rock of path, facing back the way you came. Look right at slanted rock and chasm between it and rock you are on. Box is in that Chasm, under Sticks.
