Dreaming in Gold
Difficulty: trail and clues easy
Walk time: about 5 minutes one way
Stamp hand carved
Locate Gold Pan Trail 444 in the Prescott National Forest. Upon entering Trail 444, two large boulders stand in greeting. Follow this trail (even across the wash) to the green cattle guard gate. Now count 71 paces, stop, look west (take a magnetic reading north) to a tree with twin trunks. Stand next to this tree on its north side facing the trail. At about 20 degrees, spot a campfire circle of rocks. See the tiny spruce with a SPOR beneath it. There’s gold in “them thar hills”!
Gold or bronze ink will work best.
Please rehide well with the same rocks so these directions will work for the next letterboxer.
Please contact me if this box needs any attention.
