This letterbox was placed by Girl Scout Brownie Troop 1196, as part of earning our Letterboxer badge. We hope you like the cupcake!

Start at the southwest corner of the park shelter. Travel southwest to a big tree all alone at the southern edge of the grass.

From the big tree, travel at a 140-degree bearing (southeast-ish) for a short distance, to find a narrow trail that leads toward the woods. This trail has to its left a large, square concrete slap with a manhole.

Take this trail downhill (south). The trail curves slightly to the right, and you will pass a low plastic pipe on your left, sticking up from the ground.

Continue on the same trail until you come to a trail crossing. (You could go straight, left, or right.) Turn left (south) onto a dirt path that leads into the woods.

You will soon come to a “Y” in the path. Turn left and see a tree that has fallen across the path. Go over or under the tree, and continue to a big fort.

From the fort, head west on a small path until you notice 2 big stumps on your left. Stand between the stumps and face north, to see a close-by fallen log. Look in the base of the log, under a light-colored rock, and find our cupcake!

Please replace box just as you found it, with the rock on top and sticks around the base of the log to keep it hidden.
