Enter the road to Talcott Mountain State Park from Route 185 at the Simsbury/Bloomfield Line.
Enter the marked trailhead.
Pass by 7 benches on your way to the big clearing.
Choose either the inland or the cliff walk.
Come to the big climbing rock.
There is one Black Birch that is standing in front of the rock.
Put your back to the tree (face the trail) and look right.
You will see two downed trees that create an 'x' formation.
Walk over and face the x formation, stepping into the bottom of the 'x'.
There is rock just to your left.
Move the leaves gently and look for the letterbox tucked just under the rock.
Please be sure to cover it well so it is not mistaken for trash!
We hope you had fun. We had a bunch of fun learning about letterboxing and making our stamps.
