Western Piedmont Community College has a lovely nature trail, which is where the box is located. Enter the college campus and follow the signs for student parking. Pass the pond on the right and tennis courts on the left. Follow the signs to Parking Lot 5. Park facing the trees. Take the Nature Trail path to the right. Pass a bench on the right and a broken tree on the left. Continue to the small path that leads off the left. Find the old benches and outdoor children's stage on the left.
Continue past the stage and follow the path that curves to the right. Pass another bench and keep going. Shortly, you will come to the second bench on your left, stop here. Look up the hill to the right of the path. Find the second railroad tie going up the hill. To the right of that railroad tie is a double-trunk (V) tree. What you seek is behind that tree under twigs.
