Placed: January 12, 2003 by Hard Shell Kamping Klub
Level: 2 Trail Walking
Need: Stamp Pad, Pen/Pencil and compass
Directions: US 50 to Bridgetown Rd. (St. Rt. 264) to left on Zion
Rd.
Follow signs to park entrance.
(BOX REPORTED AND CONFIRMED MISSING)
Clues: Park at the Tall Pines picnic area. Cross the gate and walk
the road up the hill to the four-way intersection. * Go straight
following the maple lined dirt road. Continue following this road
as
it turns into a trail until the trail forks at a fallen log. Take
the
left fork to the open woods. Stop at the first stepping stone on
the
trail. These stones led to a Speakeasy that resided here during
Prohibition. In March, daffodils still bloom in these woods. Take a
bearing of 310° and go 14 paces. The box is at the large end of a
40'
long pine log.
To continue to "The Homestead" Letterbox retrace your steps back to
the four-way intersection. Take the road NW to a trail on the right
and pick up the clues from the *.
