From Columbia Center where Rt.87 and Rt.66 intersect go West on Rt.66. At first blinking light.Turn right onto Hennequin Rd. go .5 miles turn left into Columbia Recreation Park. Go to the end of driveway park to your right.

This is were the (Leave It In Columbia) letter box was but it has gone missing so I replaced it with a totally different box.

Enter trail go thru the yellow gate, Go straight, you will come to Power lines. When you come to a Y in the trail under the power lines. Go left here. Follow straight (In a west direction). Shortly you will see a pole on your right with the numbers 368 on it. Continue straight threw a large field. On other side the trail will continue. Careful it is alittle rocky and you may need to "Bushwack" through. Keep walking until you come to a metel pole with a yellow arrow on your right. Follow arrow to your left (you are now on part of "Joshua's Trail"). Follow the yellow blased trail into woods line.Cross a stoney stream and continue to follow the yellow blaze along the trail.

When you come to a tree on left marked with a yellow arrow and two square marks in yellow. stop. Go straight 45 paces. You'll have a rock on your left right next to you. Turn left and go 15 steps to another large rock with a skinny tree that is broken and leaning on and over it. In back of this rock under 2 flat rocks is your dragon.

You may continue back to the yellow blaze trail and contiune on that. Its a nice hike and It eventually does a loop and will bring you back to the power lines It would make for a longer walk. OR you may just head back the same way you came and back to the park to find your car. Hope you enjoy the Hike! If you have kids with you...Feel free to stay and enjoy the park playground once your back to the parking lot.
