From Route 1 in Elkridge, turn onto South Street. Make a left into Patapsco State Park. Stop at the booth and pay the nice State Park employee the $2.00 entrance fee. Follow the main road under the Thomas Viaduct (Trivia - Completed in 1835, the Thomas Viaduct is
the world's largest multiple arched stone railroad bridge with an arc.)

Locate the Lost Lake and park. Follow the paved Grist Mill Trail to the Swinging Bridge. After crossing the Swinging Bridge, you will come to the Cascades Trail. Follow the trail up the hill. At the top of the hill, there is a fork in the trail, follow the blue blazes to the left. If you turn right at the top of the hill, you will pass a small concrete structure - this is the wrong way! You want to be following the small creek that is down below you to the left. This will take you to the Cascades. (Unfortunately, when I was there, due to the drought, the Cascades has become more of a light trickle!)

Cross the stream and climb the stone steps. At the top of the stone steps, an orange blazed trail comes in from the left. Follow the orange trail for a very short walk to the first two-in-one tree. Directly across from this tree, discover a faint path leading up the hill. Follow the path up the hill. Across from 1914 Dad and Son 96, see a long fallen tree. In the middle of the top half of this tree, Little Turtle hides behind a small log in a hole in the fallen tree.

This can be a busy area near the waterfall. Please be discrete.
