Enter the Battell Woods after parking in Dwire Circle (at the end of Monroe Street).

Cross over the small foot bridge and stop at the kiosk
The trail has a fork in it, go to the right. Just up the path a few steps, you will notice a large white oak tree on your right. It is the largest tree in the area- notice that the branches are low to the ground and imagine that one day a long time ago it was the only tree standing in a large, open pasture.

Follow the trail and look for a teepee structure on your left. Notice the holes in the tree that the teepee is leaning on. What could be creating all those holes?

When standing by the teepee, head North on the narrow mountain bike trail and you will pass another smaller structure on your right (teepee made out of pine tree branches).

From there, walk about 30 paces further on the trail (kid size steps). On your left you will find another grown oak tree. If you look around the base of the tree you will find a hole on the north side of it. Our treasure box is hidden inside that hole!! If it is snowy, it may be hard to find…

Please leave us a message, your name, and the date you found it. The girls are very excited to check back and see if anyone has found it!!
