Head to the Bourne Scenic Highway on Rte. 6
Heading East - take the 1st parking turn-out on the right
Heading West - take the 3rd parking turn-out on your left
Proceed from the parking lot down the set of stairs (Take some time to read the information board on the Cape Cod Canal)
Follow the fence to the right where you will see a sign for the "Bournedale Hills Trail"
Go through the opening in the fence, walking down the path - carefully. You will be walking downhill.
Stop when you come to a set of stairs which would lead you down to the canal.
You will see a sign to your right reading "Bourne Scenic Park .04 miles"
Turn right and walk approx. 45 paces down the paved path
STOP and turn to your right.
Walk into the woods approx. 15 paces
You will see a group of small trunked trees (5 in all) to your right.
The Happy Birthday Box is located at the base of the trunks.
