Rocks In Jail

Take I10 west to Phoenix to the I101 North on the west side. Go north to Thunderbird Dr. and exit. Turn left into the right lane. Go under the freeway to Rio Vista Blvd. and turn right into Rio Vista Park (second stop light).
Go past the main recreational building to the first parking lot on the left. It is next to the pond and just before the large pavilion. Park in one of the 12 parking spaces.

Walk between the pavilion and the pond and make your way around the pond. Follow the sidewalk to the left. Along your walk, you will pass 4 benches on the right side. After you pass the 4th bench, walk over the hill to the right. There is a semi-circle bench and the base is made of “rocks in jail”.

Sit on the left end of the bench as you face the creek bed. Notice the third seam of the bench from the left. You will find the letterbox on the creek side of the bench, directly down from the 3rd seam, tucked inside the “rock jail” in a camo bag.

When you have finished with your stamping and recording your information, please put the letterbox back together and place it as you found it so no one can see it.

Be cautious!! Watch out for dangerous desert critters!!!! Let us know if you find it and/or if it needs attention or is missing. www.sundevilmandl@cox.net Also, record your find at www.letterboxing.org or at www.atlasquest.com. We would love to hear what you think. ENJOY!!!!
